OTTAWA, ONT. APRIL 2, 2019 – Hill+Knowlton Strategies Ottawa is pleased to announce Chris Lalande has joined the Public Affairs group as Senior Account Director, effective immediately.
Mr. Lalande has worked and volunteered in politics for more than three decades and is a versatile political manager, communicator and strategist. He was most recently Chief of Staff to an active Liberal Member of Parliament. Prior to that, he spent close to ten years working for two senior ministers for the Government of Nunavut.
“Chris’ extensive political experience combined with countless years advising legislators, senior leaders government officials, Indigenous communities and corporate clients will provide significant value to our clients,” said Jackie Choquette, Vice President and Ottawa Public Affairs Group Leader. “His vast knowledge of the North and his extensive campaign experience will be a huge asset to our already strong public affairs team. Chris’ experience within the Liberal Party of Canada is longstanding. He supported grassroots campaigns and acted as one of the party’s National Campaign Co-Chairs during the 2004, 2006 and 2008 federal elections. He is a respected advisor within the party from Prime Ministers to local nomination candidates.
Chris is bilingual and studied Political Science at the University of Ottawa.
