One of Quebec’s major communications consulting firms undergoes a global rebranding
Montreal and Quebec City, January 19, 2012 – HKDP Communications and public affairs will henceforth operate under the name H+K Stratégies as part of the global repositioning of parent company Hill+Knowlton Strategies.
“This change is primarily aimed at updating our brand, which has been well established in Quebec since 1986. The new name conveys what the thirty-or-so communication consultants making up our firm in Quebec do best: provide strategic advice, whether in public affairs or communications. The emphasis on strategy is a more appropriate reflection of the work we already do for our clients with our colleagues in our other Canadian offices and around the world,” said Simon Poitras, Senior Vice-President in Quebec and General Manager of the Quebec City office.
The adoption of the new name also reflects the firm’s desire to create better synergy between the Canadian and international networks of which it is a proud part. “This new identity is a logical continuation of our company’s evolution in strategic communications. Specifically, it will allow us to pursue projects aimed purely at the Quebec market while ensuring our expansion both nationally and worldwide,” added Frédéric Bérard, Vice-President, Financial and Regulatory Affairs, and General Manager of the Montreal office. H+K Stratégies will continue to provide advice built on a rich heritage of strong counsel and flawless execution.
The company’s new brand reflects everything it has to offer not only in established sectors, but also in those in which it is rapidly expanding, such as digital communications, which is increasingly becoming the primary communications channel for numerous strategies, and research, which is used to better understand the public and stakeholders.
