David Rodier now group leader of new Ottawa-based public sector communications group
OTTAWA, ON (September 30, 2013) Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada (H+K)—the country’s top-rated public relations and public affairs firm—is pleased to announce the promotion of David Rodier to group leader of its public sector communications group, effective immediately.
“With more than 20 years’ experience providing policy and strategic communications counsel to senior leaders from the federal government, national NGOs and the private sector, David has the experience, connections and insight to create powerful results for clients,” says Jackie King, senior vice-president and general manager of H+K Ottawa.
Although David will focus on federal government accounts, he will work with H+K’s national network to ensure public sector clients in every province have access to his expertise.

Prior to joining H+K in 2010, David spent six years managing the Ottawa office of another communications firm. He has provided media and presentation training to hundreds of spokespeople from more than 70 organizations. Before joining the consulting world, David spent seven years as a senior political advisor to Minister Allan Rock, where he played a key role in the adoption of the global, precedent-setting picture warning systems on cigarette packaging that has now been implemented by more than 65 countries.
David has a B.A. in history from McGill University and LLB from the University of Ottawa, and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
