H+K Canada appoints CSO and CCO

New appointments reinforce agency’s commitment to innovation and client service excellence

Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada (H+K), the country’s top-ranked public relations and public affairs firm, announces the appointment of Joseph Peters to chief strategy officer (CSO) and Joy Jennissen to chief client officer (CCO), effective immediately.

“Our clients continue to operate in increasingly dynamic and evolving business environments that include complex organizational structures, shifting regulatory demands, more sophisticated audiences and a constant pressure to innovate,” explains Goldy Hyder, president and CEO, H+K Canada.

“More and more, the market demands—and is understanding—the value of integrated communications consulting. And we’ve risen to the challenge. But that demand is continuing to shift. Strategic planning and innovation is no longer focused to just one or two times a year, it is a continuous process. The same can be said for building strong client-centric experiences. Introducing CSO and CCO leadership, positions us well to continue to deliver innovative solutions and unparalleled service to our clients.”

Joseph Peters to chief strategy officer

Joseph will focus on exploring and implementing cutting-edge strategic alternatives to steer groundbreaking solutions that deliver against ever-evolving client business needs and challenges. Since joining the agency little more than three years ago—when H+K acquired Ascentum, a public engagement firm with depth in digital and research—Joseph has brought vision and leadership that has helped drive several new and innovative service offerings, including social and digital services, engagement strategies and content marketing.

Joy Jennissen to chief client officer

Joy, who has served in senior roles with H+K for 15 years and managed some of the firm’s largest and most complex client relationships, expands on her existing responsibilities to provide strategic leadership on all aspects of the client experience and champion client service excellence—across every business unit and region. Joy will also continue to lead operations for the firm’s western region as general manager for B.C. and Saskatchewan.
