
Andrew Perez is a Senior Consultant on the Financial + Professional Services and Energy + Industrials teams in Toronto. He brings significant experience in media relations, having worked in a variety of diverse public and private sector environments advising senior leaders on communication strategies in their interactions with governments and the media. In recent years, Andrew has held dedicated media relations roles at the Toronto Region Board of Trade and the Canadian Bankers Association where he prepared senior executives for interviews, managed incoming inquiries, and built strong relationships with journalists from a wide variety of beats.
Andrew is also a freelance writer covering politics and public policy. His bylines have appeared in the Globe and Mail, National Post, Canada’s National Observer, Policy Options, and on TVO.org among several other outlets. He’s also provided commentary on numerous podcasts and radio programs and brings extensive knowledge on the media landscape across Canada. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University’s School of Journalism, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, and recently completed a diploma in strategic public relations from the University of Toronto.
