
Lauren is a public policy and stakeholder engagement specialist who joined the H+K team with experience from the non-profit, health, mental health and social service sectors. Working primarily with the public affairs team, Lauren provides strategic and integrated government relations and communications advice to a variety of clients at H+K, with focus in the health and wellness sector. At H+K, she has provided day-to-day leadership in the health professional, digital health, seniors care, not-for-profit, and pharmaceutical sectors, including work with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario, the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario, Immunize Canada, AstraZenneca, and more.
Lauren came to H+K from the non-profit sector in government and stakeholder relations where she played an integral role in understanding the priorities of various stakeholders, building and mobilizing a supportive base for the organization and growing collaborative partnerships with government. In this role, Lauren led the development and execution of province-wide engagement strategies targeting key government and legislative activities, including helping execute a successful social media campaign resulting in a $100 million investment in community dementia supports by government.
Lauren studied English literature and sociology and holds a master of social work, both from the University of Toronto. She continues to keep ties to community and the front-lines of the health sector through ongoing work in the long-term care sector and as a member of the Ontario Caregiver Coalition’s (OCC) Research & Advocacy Committee.
