Liz Torrez
Liz consults a variety of clients on communications issues including crisis, executive visibility, corporate positioning and media relations. Liz manages large-scale, multi-national communications programs for global clients and specializes in driving strategy and developing corporate positioning programs to support her clients’ business goals. At Hill+Knowlton Strategies, she is the client service leader for the Deloitte business, overseeing the H+K team across the US and is focused on promoting the corporate identity of Deloitte and its leadership.

Liz has communications experience ranging from journalism to marketing and public relations; prior to joining the firm in 2004, Liz worked at a Chicago-based public affairs firm and focused on executing grassroots campaigns to build support for public policy initiatives. She also has an integrated marketing and advertising background from her time working at a Chicago-based ad agency managing local, statewide and national campaigns. Liz also has journalism experience, formerly working as a reporter and producer at the ABC-TV affiliate in Lincoln, Nebraska, and in radio as a news director and anchor in Champaign, Illinois.

Liz was named one of PR News’ Top Women in PR in 2017, an award for her work in managing crises, developing brand messages and protecting and building brand reputations for clients. She received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in speech communication from The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
