Alberta’s political parties have released their fiscal policies in advance of the May 5 election date. Premier Jim Prentice’s 2015-16 budget features spending cuts and tax increases, resulting in criticism from both left- and right-leaning opposition parties.
The NDP is positioning itself as a party that will maintain and increase social spending, while the Wildrose Party claims it’s the only party that will protect the low-tax “Alberta Advantage.” While fiscal policies will likely be released from every party throughout the provincial campaign, H+K has compiled each party’s current fiscal policies for your consideration (click here to view the image):
