Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada (H+K) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Wright as vice-president, municipal public affairs, in its Toronto office.
Kim joins H+K from a boutique public affairs agency in Toronto, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge about the processes and practices of municipal governments and their related agencies, authorities and school boards. Her background also includes more than 25 years of political experience at the federal, provincial and municipal levels.
“Kim’s deep knowledge of municipal issues, combined with her political background, extends our government relations capabilities in Toronto and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team,” said senior vice-president Sheila Wisniewski, H+K Toronto’s general manager. “Her vast experience will greatly benefit our clients, particularly those who are seeking insights and engagement at the municipal government level.”
Kim has built public affairs engagements on a wide range of municipal issues including infrastructure, transportation, budget, taxation, labour relations, public health, waste management and licensing. Prior to her career in public affairs, she spent several years at Queen’s Park with the NDP Caucus providing political and legislative counsel. In addition, she has served as executive assistant to two Toronto District School Board Trustees.
