Pierre Killeen joins as vice-president

Hill+Knowlton Canada (H+K), the top-ranked public relations and public affairs firm in Canada, is pleased to announce that public engagement and strategic communications veteran Pierre Killeen has joined the firm’ s public + corporate affairs team in Ottawa as vice-president.

“In the new world of public and corporate affairs, the single biggest change has been the power of the public and the biggest challenge is shaping the public environment in conjunction with policy, legislative and corporate objectives,” says Jackie King, general manager of H+K Ottawa. “We continue to be leaders in our industry because we are constantly innovating and integrating public engagement, research and analytics, and digital communications so we can focus on what’s really important – results that matter to our clients. Pierre is an expert in the integration of these fields and strengthens an already impressive H+K team.”

With more than 15 years of experience, Pierre is a widely respected thought leader in the public engagement industry, a seasoned and bilingual communicator, and an accomplished public speaker. Pierre has designed and executed various campaigns bringing together engagement, research and digital communications to influence and inform everything from public opinion to public policy.

Pierre joins H+K Ottawa from another communications firm where he led the public engagement practice for the past five years; one of his recent projects included designing and deploying a successful national multi-platform public affairs campaign that engaged tens of thousands of Canadians on the transformation of Canada’s health care system. He also spent five years with Nanos Research where he designed, managed and lead the firm’s online public consultation practice, introducing online consultation services to municipalities, federal government departments and agencies, and non-governmental associations.
