To highlight her role as a champion of children, families and communities in developing nations, we helped position Plan Canada’s president and CEO Rosemary McCarney as a thought-leader. Our program ensured Plan Canada was a go-to source on international-development issues. Speaking opportunities led to a keynote at Ottawa’s Women of Influence luncheon and inclusion in a two-page magazine spread. One-on-one interviews were especially important during the 2011 Horn of Africa famine, when Rosemary McCarney could offer firsthand understanding of the crisis.
Our media relations expertise and support for the organization’s Because I am a Girl initiative helped spotlight important conversations about girls’ rights, gender equality and the importance of humanitarian aid – resulting in 1,200+ media hits and more than 468 million impressions for Plan Canada in 2011.
