+1 What do you read to keep current on the latest trends and news?
I’m on social media now more than I ever have, but I’m still pretty old school. I read a few newspapers every morning and about a dozen magazines cross my coffee table every month.
+2 If you could live in any city, where would it be and why?
I honestly don’t have a favourite city, I’m much more of a small town guy.  My ideal home would be in Waterton, tucked away in southwest Alberta along the border with Montana and BC. It’s simply one beautiful, undeveloped treasure.
+3 What’s your “plan B” if you need to spontaneously switch careers?
Well, I have always thought it would be lovely to be a ‘postie,’ walking door to door delivering mail.  But something tells me I need a new “plan B”….
+4 Most coveted superpower?
To be able to fly. Collecting points for free flights takes way too long.
+5 Looking back, of which moment in your career are you most proud of and why?
I hadn’t even worked as a journalist full time for one year when I pitched to do a TV documentary overseas in Ethiopia to highlight unique ways some Albertans were working as humanitarians. I was young, inexperienced and likely unqualified. However, I grew substantially as a journalist and the finished product was a huge success airing in multiple provinces and the U.S.
