Effective May 16, 2016, Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada (H+K) is consolidating its strengths and further integrating its services to continue the momentum in its Quebec-based offices. Isabelle Verreault has been appointed general manager for Quebec, overseeing both the Montreal and Quebec City offices.
Layering onto H+K’s strategic acquisition of public engagement company Acertys, which Isabelle co-founded, and the appointment of Nathalie Bourque as Quebec Chair—both earlier this year—the firm is also pleased to announce that Josiane Hébert will assume the position of deputy general manager. Formerly Montreal’s general manager, Dimitri Gourdin is now senior vice-president, business development for Quebec.
“Our primary focus in the Quebec market, like the rest of the country, is on growth. We have seen very good momentum within Quebec’s operations; our core services are in demand and being serviced by a team that deeply understands local and national needs,” says Goldy Hyder, president and CEO, H+K.
While Josiane will work closely with Isabelle and continue to be responsible for the day-to-day operations in Quebec City—as well as establishing a public affairs offering in Montreal—Dimitri will focus on new business and enhance H+K’s prominence and profile in the important Quebec market. Hyder adds: “Isabelle, Josiane, Dimitri and Nathalie will continue to work closely with Acertys co-founder Jacques Bénard, who is leading the integration and development of our regional engagement offering as well as our efforts to generate new business nationally in the infrastructure sector. Together, they make a formidable team.”
