Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K Strategies) is pleased to announce the arrival of the honourable Hélène Chalifour Scherrer as a special advisor to its Quebec team. Joining the more than 30 experts in public affairs, communications and public engagement, Ms. Chalifour Scherrer will be responsible for advising the company’s clients and participating in business development and outreach across various of sectors.

An impressive career

As MP for Louis-Hébert in the House of Commons from 2000 to 2004, Ms. Chalifour Scherrer served as Minister of Canadian Heritage from 2003 to 2004, managing one of the largest ministerial portfolios of the federal government. She then served as Principal Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada, the Right Honourable Paul Martin.

Since 2007, she has been managing Gestion Chalifour, a company which specializes in public relations and philanthropic management. She is also very proud to have been Regional General Manager for the Quebec Cancer Foundation. Ms. Chalifour Scherrer has a degree in social work from Laval University.

In her new role, Ms. Chalifour Scherrer mentioned that she will keep the same personal code of conduct that has guided her throughout her professional life: “With a rich and varied experience, I remain firmly committed to all issues I engage with.
